Indian Express Newspaper
Indian Express epaper is an English newspaper from Uttar Pradesh, India It was started in 1931 and it is owned by Ramnath Goenka. It covers daily news from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. After Ramanath Goenka’s demise in 1991, two of the family members split the group into Indian Express Mumbai with all the North Indian editions, while the Southern editions were grouped as Express Madurai Ltd. with Chennai as headquarters. The southern editions taking the name The New Indian Express and North editions taking the name ‘The Indian Express’. The Express Group publishes Loksatta in Mumbai, the largest Marathi daily, and Jansatta in Hindi. Screen, its weekly entertainment magazine. Mr. Viveck Goenka is the Chairman & Managing Director of The Indian Express [P] Limited.
